Mauritius does tropical escape very well. Situated in the Indian Ocean and surrounded by white sand beaches, this is where you head to when you're looking for a proper holiday. Thanks to the island's fertile volcanic interior there are untold adventures to be had exploring in the jungle and seeking out hidden waterfalls and crystal-clear pools.
Take yourself off on a traditional wooden fishing boat and you'll discover islands, like L’ilot Bernache, where you can spend the day fishing, snorkelling or just strolling over deserted white sand shores.
Alternatively, why not discover the island's north coast where the vibrant beach town of Grand Baie opens up all manner of cultural entertainment, both by day and by night.
