This relaxed resort is ideal for those seeking a real Mauritian experience. It’s on the largely undeveloped Belle Mare beach on the eastern side of the island – a beautiful spot that’s popular with locals as well as tourists, though it’s large enough to still feel peaceful.

The hotel has just 77 rooms set in bougainvillea-filled gardens. It’s one of five hotels in the small, Mauritian Veranda chain, which focuses on local experiences and the chance to experience real Mauritian culture and food.
The main draw here is the 1.5km long beach. The lagoon offers safe swimming and snorkelling, as well as a fantastic choice of other watersports. Try kitesurfing or sailing, paddle a kayak, or let someone else take the ropes with a catamaran cruise across the lagoon.

You’ll be able to choose from two restaurants, one of which is right on the beach – expect fresh-caught seafood eaten with your feet in the sand. There’s also a laid-back cocktail bar for sundowners, and evening entertainment that includes traditional Mauritian sega dancing.

All Inclusive "All-Add-In" includes:
Breakfast, lunch and dinner, plus Rs 800 credit per person per night for dinner at Horizon beach restaurant (reservation required). Included are also snacks, afternoon tea/coffee, soft and local alcoholic drinks as well as minibar.
