Veranda Pointe aux Biches Hotel

This attractive boutique hotel is ideal for those who like to mix plenty of time chilling on the beach with exploring the local culture. This pretty stretch of the north Mauritian coast is home to locals as well as tourists – giving you temples, fishing villages and markets to explore. The hotel and its 115 rooms are built using rustic, local materials, and there’s a friendly, relaxed feel throughout. One wing is adults-only – with its own beachside cocktail bar, restaurant, pool, spacious and premium rooms and beach access. There is plenty to do here, with watersports including kayaking and SUP included, and the option to add diving, deep sea fishing or catamaran sailing. When it’s time to explore, the hotel runs regular shuttles to nearby Trou aux Biches. Alternatively the lively seaside town of Grand Baie is just a short drive away. There, you’ll find lively public beaches where you can mingle with the locals, crafts and souvenirs at the Grand Baie Bazaar, and some memorable street food.
