Paradise Sun
Hand-Picked Hotel
Luxury hotel with a spectacular setting and French-Creole influences.
The name’s a big giveaway at the Paradise Sun Hotel, which has an idyllic setting on Praslin Island. Guests have a two-kilometre slither of snow-white sand all to themselves, and the backdrop is a green forest.
It’s easy to unwind here, thanks to a good-size pool, a spa offering organic Balinese treatments, and guided nature walks among the cinnamon and nutmeg trees. There’s also plenty on offer if you like keeping busy – such as swimming, snorkelling and kayaking in the Indian Ocean shallows.
When it comes to dining, you can look forward to changing cuisines every evening in the buffet restaurant. The St. Pierre Beach Restaurant, meanwhile, is open for lunch and dinner, and serves Creole dishes and fresh-from-the-ocean seafood. You can slip off your shoes when you enter, too – the floor is made up of soft sand.

Local Area
Praslin is the second-largest island in the Seychelles and situated 45 kilometres northeast of Mahé. It’s a stunning Indian Ocean idyll with granite boulder-bordered beaches, ancient inland forests and offshore coral reefs.
Getting here is easy. You can enjoy a 20-minute flight or an hour’s ferry ride, both of which depart from the nation’s capital, Victoria, on Mahé. Keep your eyes peeled for dolphins along the way.
Paradise Sun is located on the north coast of Praslin. It’s 12 kilometres from the airport and six kilometres from Baie Sainte Anne Jetty. It’s the perfect place to sample the good life in the Seychelles with a beautiful white beach 100 metres from the guest bungalows.
Fancy a change of scene? The beach bars and restaurants at Cote d’Or village are 10 minutes’ walk east of Paradise Sun, and Anse Petite Cour Bay, in the opposite direction, is accessible by boat.
If you’re looking to explore further afield there are reliable taxis, water taxis, and a regular bus service on the island. Vallée de Mai Nature Reserve is an especially worthwhile day trip destination for nature lovers – don't forget your binoculars or your hiking boots.

Please note
- During the months of June to August, sea conditions can sometimes be a little choppy. If you’re prone to seasickness, you may wish to consider flying between Mahé and Praslin (additional supplement applies).
