Life takes on a slower, more spiritual pace in Luang Prabang. There are two main seasons in Laos, wet and dry. The dry season is cooler and runs from November to March, while the weather between April and October is hot and wet.
Lao is the local spoken language in Laos, although English is also widely spoken.
Currently, there are no direct flights to Laos from the UK. The total flight time is about 17 hours with at least one stop en route.
