Antigua is a hotspot for sunbathers and sailors alike, with the marinas and beaches around the south coast certain to appeal to fans of seafaring heritage and screensaver views. Nelson’s Dockyard, in English Harbour, has maritime museums and upmarket yacht clubs and is best viewed from the scenic lookout point at Shirley Heights.
South Point Antigua lies around 45 minutes’ drive from the airport, which is situated on the northern side of the island, and about the same distance from the capital, St. John’s.
