Local Area

Located between the islands of Martinique and St Vincent & the Grenadines, St Lucia sits to the east of the Caribbean as part of the Windward Islands. It’s one of the region’s most mountainous and scenic islands with the UNESCO-listed Grand and Petit Piton peaks on the southwest coast providing excuses to get out and explore.

Volcanic beaches lead to vibrant coral gardens ripe for underwater adventures armed with snorkel, mask and flippers. If you’ve remembered your hiking boots, head inland to Edmund Forest Reserve where you’ll find walking trails leading to waterfalls and hummingbirds hidden among the rainforest foliage.

If you’ve come here for culture, Castries, the capital of St Lucia, can be found further north along the west coast. This is where you’ll find a classic Caribbean market, European-inspired architecture and some of the best green bananas and salt fish this side of Jamaica.

Please note

  • A St Lucia Tourism Accommodation Fee of USD $6 per person, per night is payable locally.
