Painting

The wonderful thing about art is its subjectivity. You don't need to draw a perfect line or paint a flawless picture to create something meaningful. Whether you're an experienced artist or a curious beginner, this painting holiday invites you to explore, express, and enjoy the boundless possibilities of art. You’ll be guided by art teacher and expert host Marios, who’ll help you practice and develop your drawing and painting skills. As the holiday comes to an end, you'll proudly take home a completed painting of your own creation – now that’s a holiday souvenir worth talking about!

Four hours a day of art themed activities
You’ll start the week feeling like an artist’s apprentice, familiarising yourself with basic and complementary colours and with different materials and methods of drawing, such as inks, pen, brush, acrylics, and pastels. As the week progresses, your skills will develop as you practice tonal scales and proportions, before moving on to portraits and face shading, as well as the art of nature and flora. Channelling your inner Picasso, you’ll spend time choosing and sketching out a theme for your final piece before spending the last day painting your masterpiece.

Expert talks by Marios Anastasiou
Marios is not only a skilled artist with over 30 years of experience, but he also holds two Guinness World Records. The first, in 2012, was for the largest painting in the world completed in eight hours, and the second, in 2013, was for the world’s largest painting puzzle. Marios will be your expert host and art teacher over the five days, and he can’t wait to share his years of wisdom and passion for art through the practical work you’ll be doing and through expert talks and demonstrations.

Situated on a private stretch of sand overlooking Coral Bay, this scenic resort is an ideal base for a peaceful Cypriot escape. Set within landscaped gardens, it offers five-star facilities, including a lagoon-style swimming pool and a variety of dining venues, such as the main Armonia buffet restaurant, The Calypso Asian buffet restaurant (open twice a week), and a Cypriot mezze restaurant (open twice a week from March to November). Sea or mountain views from your private balcony create a calming and peaceful ambiance, while massage treatments in Esthisis Spa allow for some ‘me time’. Coastal walks, art workshops, cycling routes, and wine tasting are just the start of things to come.
