You’ll be spoilt for choice at this large, recently renovated hotel overlooking Salina Bay on Malta’s northeast coast. Its four restaurants range from fine a la carte dining to relaxed buffet service – the rooftop Minoa eatery, in particular, deserves special mention for its spectacular views. And with numerous bars and lounges, plus two adults-only swimming pools on offer, you’ll never need to leave. But maybe an eight-minute stroll to the nearby rocky beach will tempt you out? Cool off in the summer months with a dip in the sea (accessed by a ladder) or take a 30-minute bus journey to the town of Mellieha, which has the largest beach on the island. You can also reach the historic capital, Valletta, via a 40-minute bus ride.

Location
This hotel has a fabulous seafront location, with panoramic ocean views. A wide promenade offers lovely walks into the centre of Qawra, while the shops and bars of lively Bugibba are just a kilometre away. Hop on one of the regular open-top buses that circle the island, and you’ll soon find yourself in St. Paul’s Bay, home to some of Malta’s most beautiful natural bays and beaches, as well as historic Valletta and the neighbouring Sliema, famed for its ancient streets lined with houses featuring traditional woo...
The Malta National Aquarium is just a 15-minute walk from the hotel and really good value – it’s €14 for entry for a senior (60+) and offers lots of interesting insights into the different marine eco-systems around the archipelago.
