Included excursions
Pastizzi experience
1 / 4
Discover Malta’s most beloved street food – flaky, golden pastizzi, a samosa-like pastry typically filled with ricotta or curried peas. On this hands-on excursion on a local farm, you will learn from a master pastizzi maker who’s been perfecting the craft for years. You’ll roll, layer, fill, and shape your own pastizzi, then bake them to crispy perfection. Of course, the best part is tasting your handiwork. Afterward, take a scenic stroll through the village and cap off the experience with spectacular views at Dingli Cliffs.
Hands-on culinary workshop
1 / 4
It’s time to roll up our sleeves for a hands-on culinary workshop led by local artisans. Held at an exclusive farm venue, we’ll handcraft cheese on a sheep farm, whip up homemade jams, or master an age-old skill. It’s the perfect mix of hands-on fun and laid-back charm — all while giving back to the local rural community.
Wine tasting and Mdina
1 / 4
Soak up the beauty of Malta on this full day wine tasting excursion. We begin at a 19-hectare estate nestled beneath Mdina’s ancient walls, where you’ll wander through lush vineyards, explore underground cellars, and uncover the secrets behind each bottle. Next, relax on the panoramic terrace for a guided tasting of four exquisite wines, thoughtfully paired with a platter of Maltese delicacies. Finally, we’ll whisk you away to Mdina for a guided tour of Malta’s enchanting former capital.
Gozo
1 / 4
Just a 20-minute ferry ride from Malta, Gozo is a peaceful haven, known as the island of milk and honey. With only 26,000 residents, its green, fertile landscapes invite you to slow down and savour life. On this tour, our expert guide will share fascinating tales of Gozo’s history, culture, and every day. Wander through the captivating streets of Victoria, explore the stunning bay and natural site of Dwejra, and enjoy a delicious lunch at a traditional restaurant. Plus, there’ll be time to shop for unique, handcrafted souvenirs to take back home.
Location
The hotel is positioned overlooking Salina Bay with a rocky beach, where you can take a dip in the sea (accessed by a ladder), directly infront. A wide promenade offers lovely walks into the centre of Qawra, approximately 650 yards away, while the shops and bars of lively Bugibba are less than a mile away. The nearest bus stop from the hotel is five yards away. The drive to/from the airport takes approximately 30 minutes.
Out and about
Hop on one of the regular open-top buses that circle the island, and you will soon find yourself in St Paul’s Bay, home to some of Malta’s most beautiful natural bays and beaches. Or perhaps take a 30-minute bus journey to the town of Mellieha, which has the largest beach on the island, or the historic capital, Valletta, via a 40-minute bus ride, and the neighbouring Sliema, famed for its ancient streets lined with houses featuring traditional wooden balconies.
Mellieha
This large village, whose skyline is dominated by a Baroque church, is popular for its shops, restaurants and extensive beach.
Valletta
Malta’s honey-coloured capital city is known for its Grand Harbour, which is overlooked by a number of historically important buildings, including Fort St Angelo. Other buildings of interest within the city include the Grandmaster’s Palace and St John’s Co-Cathedral, both constructed by the Knights of St John.
Sliema
This resort town on Malta’s east coast has an extensive promenade, plenty of shopping opportunities and a handful of historic forts and watchtowers.
