Poland reverently respects its history while marching forward in hope. On our tour of Poland, we ponder the power of faith at Kraków’s wonderful Wawel Cathedral and the ‘Jasna Góra’ (Bright Hill) Monastery in Częstochowa, a hugely prominent place of pilgrimage. Visiting Warsaw, we celebrate the extraordinary transformation of a place once almost destroyed in war. We spend an emotional day at Auschwitz, learning of the country’s dark past, and an uplifting one touring Wrocław, a charming contemporary city.
