The small, purpose-built resort of S’Algar stands on a rocky headland known for its coves, capes and islets. It is a pretty, peaceful place with a couple of small supermarkets and a restaurant, all reached from the hotel via a quiet sloping road and along the long, level promenade. The nearest bus stop from the hotel is 100 yards away and there is a regular bus service into pretty Es Castell. The drive to/from the airport takes approximately 25 minutes.

The island’s vibrant capital Mahón, with its elegant Georgian-style architecture, is approximately six-and-a-half miles away.
Mahón
Mahón lies in a sheltered natural harbour. Its rocky shoreline is dotted with elegant Georgian-style architecture, a throwback to its period of 18th-century British occupation. The museum in Fort Marlborough offers a look back at this era. Other attractions close by include 19th-century Mola Fortress, built to prevent the return of the British, and Far de Favaritx lighthouse.
