Catalonia has long been a cradle of artistic innovation, where bold ideas take shape in paint, stone, and landscape. From the medieval to the modernist, this art and architecture holiday explores the creativity that has defined the region. Highlights include world-class collections, the bold modernism of Joan Miró, and Gaudí’s iconic creations – Park Güell and the Sagrada Família. You’ll also visit lesser-known sites associated with Salvador Dalí, the sculptor and painter Santiago Rusinol, as well as gardens and even a wine bodega built in the modernist style. With four full days and one half day, the itinerary is busy and rewarding, with plenty of time on your feet exploring museums, gardens, and historic streets.
