Location
Albir is a compact seaside resort in the foothills of the scenic Sierra Helada natural park. The hotel is located within the Alfaz del Pi beach area, from where you can walk into the centre of Albir around half-a-mile away, and venture along the level promenade to Altea, approximately two-and-a-half miles away. The nearest bus stop is 77 yards away. The drive to/from the airport takes approximately 50 minutes and the transfer coach pick-up and drop-off point is around 77 yards from the hotel.
Out and about
There is a regular train service from the centre of Albir to the lively resort of Benidorm, a 13-minute ride away, and Alicante, in one direction, and Altea, Calpe and Denia in the other. The Serra Gelada Natural Park is approximately one mile away.
Benidorm
Although Benidorm is best known for its beaches, modern skyline and typically British atmosphere, there is also an old town with an attractive whitewashed castle, which once protected the city from pirate attacks and now offers panoramic views across the coastline.
The Serra Gelada Natural Park
This natural landmark, which covers around 13,750 acres, offers walking and hiking trails of varied gradients. There are numerous viewing platforms, as well as plenty of places to sit and enjoy the dramatic scenery, most notably at the Faro del Albir lighthouse.
