Hotel Salobreña Suites

Saga Hosted Hotels

Perched on a cliff overlooking the Mediterranean Sea, this charming hotel offers some of the best views along Andalusia’s Costa Tropical. Despite its tranquil and secluded location, the hotel's shuttle services make it a great base for exploring the surrounding area, and you can reach the sea via winding, steep, and narrow paths. Enjoy a spacious sunbathing terrace, a refreshing swimming pool, and a simple buffet restaurant. There’s also a seasonal pool bar serving snacks and drinks, plus an indoor TV lounge with comfortable sofas and armchairs. On-site, you'll find massage treatments, a hairdressing salon, and a small gym if you're in the mood for a workout.

Local Area

The Costa Tropical, located on Spain’s southern coast, gets its name from the warm African air that’s trapped by the Sierra Nevada Mountains. This unique climate, marked by its fertile microclimate, supports thriving plantations of pomegranates, bananas, and sugar cane, creating a colourful and picturesque landscape. You’ll be just three kilometres from Salobreña, with a daily shuttle service available to take you there for strolls along the steep, cobbled streets lined with whitewashed buildings adorned with flowers. The shuttle also runs four times a week to Almuñécar, Nerja, Motril, and La Herradura.

This hotel is for those who want a good old fashioned Spanish hotel escape in an isolated cliff-top location with to-die-for views. The Salobrena offers a simple, vintage hotel experience that’s uncommon in an ever more corporate Spanish hotel industry – where the buffet will not be endless in choice, but the owner is willing to set aside his time to introduce you to some of his favourite Spanish wines, or the local Montero rum produced by his family. A range of other activities allow you an authentic insight into the local culture of the beautiful province of Granada.

Optional excursions

Optional excursions can only be booked in resort and are subject to minimum numbers

Tropical Valley

This half day excursion starts with a guided panoramic tour of the Tropical Valley in Almuñécar. It’s a vast agricultural area where exotic fruit, such as custard apples, mangos, papayas, and avocados, are grown in plantations. We’ll stop at one of the local farms to find out more about the cultivation methods and to taste some of the delicious fresh fruit against a beautiful sub-tropical backdrop.
