This walk is a Grade 2: Walk at a leisurely pace but with a little steeper ground and varied terrain; we recommend a little walking experience prior to you tour. Within 2 to 3 hours a day, expect to cover a rough distance of 4 to 6 miles per day.

An introduction to Canyamel (half day, four miles)

Explore the local area on the first walk of your programme, which takes you along a wide trail lined with strawberry trees and the occassional shaded area. Arriving at the mountain pass, admire the panoramic view across the coast before making the descent along the same trail.
Cala Ratjada (half day, six miles)

Hike directly from your hotel along a narrow, flower-lined path towards Font de Sa Cala and the nearest coast. After a drink, continue along an easy coastal trail to reach Cala Ratjada. Enjoy some time here at leisure to browse the shops, walk around the marina or relax in a waterfront cafe. The transfer back is included, but you may prefer to stay longer in Cala Ratjada and make your own way back.
Porto Colom (full day, five-and-a-half miles)

After a bus drive to Porto Colom, Majorca’s largest natural harbour, set off on your hike. Walk along the harbour, past beautiful coves, through secluded scrubland to Cala Murada beach. Enjoy a picnic lunch, swimming and drinks by the sea. Afterwards, continue on foot along a rocky coastline, past lively beaches to a promenade. The final stretch takes you along an easy coastal path with splendid sea views back to the bus.
The Boquer Valley and boat trip to Formentor (full day, three miles)

Travel by bus to the area near the port of Pollenca. From here, set off on an easy half-hour hike through the rugged Boquer Valley, home to wild goats. Afterwards, walk to the boat dock and enjoy a boat ride to the beautiful white sand beach at Formentor. Stop for a swim and a picnic lunch, followed by a short hike. On the way back the bus will stop at Es Colomer, where you can admire spectacular rock formations.
The Alcúdia coast and town of Artà (full day, three miles)

Set off on a scenic hike along the coast from the Betlem vacation village to the fishing village of Colonia San Pere. A view of the bay of Alcudià will accompany you the whole way, and you will stop for a picnic lunch. On the way back, visit the traditional town of Artà, known for its 14th-century Sanctuary of Sant Salvador, Bronze-Age ruins and bustling Tuesday markets.

The secluded sandy beach of Canyamel stretches along the coastline to the front of the hotel. In between, there is an uneven wooden boardwalk which connects to a steep coastal trail with numerous stone steps leading to the Caves of Artà less than a mile away in one direction and a steep path that winds up towards the lookout point of Cap Vermell in the opposite direction. Out and about
The nearby bus stop offers a regular service which is ideal for exploring further afield. The historic walled town of Capdepera, with its 14th-century fortress, is approximately six miles away. While eight miles away, you will find the lively resort of Cala Ratjada and the traditional Majorcan town of Son Servera, which has a pedestrianised centre and an impressive open-air, Gothic-style temple.
