This walk is a Grade 2: Walk at a leisurely pace but with a little steeper ground and varied terrain; we recommend a little walking experience prior to you tour. Within 2 to 3 hours a day, expect to cover a rough distance of 4 to 6 miles per day.

After just over an hour coach journey from Santa Susanna, the route begins near the Fageda d’en Jordà – an unusual beech forest growing on ancient lava flows. Well-maintained paths guide you through shaded woodland and up to the Santa Margarida crater, where a Romanesque hermitage stands in the centre. You’ll continue past the Croscat volcano, with its exposed interior offering a rare glimpse into volcanic geology.

There is a sandy beach, accessible via an underpass, 437 yards away which stretches for miles in both directions. The nearest bus stop from the hotel is approximately 383 yards away and the train station is just under a mile away. The drive to/from the airport takes approximately one hour and 10 minutes.
Out and about
The coastal train stops a few yards away from the hotel and visits the nearby towns of Pineda de Mar and Malgrat de Mar, just a stop away in either direction. The train service from Santa Susanna links to Barcelona, around 37 miles away. While Girona, around 28 miles away, is accessible by bus.

This is coastal town is known for its vast sandy beach. There are weekly markets in the town, where over 100 stalls sell fresh food, clothes accessories and more.
Barcelona
Known for its blend of modernist and Gothic architecture, Barcelona is home to famous landmarks like the Sagrada Família Basilica and UNESCO-listed Park Güell. It has multiple shopping areas, such as Las Ramblas and Passeig de Gràcia, as well as one of the world’s best tapas scenes.
