Out and about
Jersey is the largest of the Channel Islands and a self-governing dependency of the United Kingdom, with a mix of British and French cultures. Known for its rugged coast and cliffside walking trails, tranquil coves, historic castles and green pastures, the island is just nine by five miles but bursting with things to do. The Victorian Christmas Market, which sits within a beautiful historic building dating back to 1882, is open on Christmas Eve and includes nearly 50 independent retailers selling food and drink, gifts, fashion, flowers and objet d’art. Jersey’s public bus service, the Liberty Bus, is based in Liberation Square which means you can easily create your own itinerary around the island.
