The River Dee meanders through the Eaton Estate, the ancestral home of the Duke of Westminster. Discover picturesque Aldford Iron Bridge and then sail back downstream to the city. Historic Chester celebrates Christmas in the best possible way with its city walls and medieval double-tiered streets decked in lights. Chester Zoo hosts its famous Lanterns and Light event with dazzling animal lanterns and night trails to explore, and there is a Christmas Eve carol at Chester Cathedral and a Christmas Tree Festival which runs until January.
