Once upon a time, Turkey’s two-mast wooden gulet boats – pronounced gu’let – were used to transport cargo around the Aegean Sea. Today, they’re an authentic way for holidaymakers to explore, and offer spectacular views of the clear blue lagoons that surround the Turkish coast and the pine-cloaked hills that edge the country’s interior.
You’ll travel to new places each day on a Saga Turkish gulet cruise, sleeping onboard, and stopping to swim, snorkel, picnic, and discover new towns and villages. Each gulet usually has just eight cabins and you’ll sail in a small floatilla of no more than three boats.
