Discover Banff Circle Journey
Independent Tours
Mountains, hot springs and glaciers … and two trips on the Rocky Mountaineer This remarkable journey starts and ends in Vancouver and takes you through some of Canada’s most memorable sights, including the highest points of the Rocky Mountains, and its most accessible icefields. You’ll travel through this vast country’s changing landscapes using a mix of rail and road and get to experience not one, but two, trips aboard the Rocky Mountaineer – first on the ‘Journey Through the Clouds’ route (from Vancouver to Jasper) and then on the ‘First Passage to the West’ route (from Banff to Vancouver). On board the trains, you can choose to travel in SilverLeaf or GoldLeaf – both offer the same views, the same high standards of friendly service, plus delicious breakfast and lunch menus featuring locally-inspired flavours. GoldLeaf comes with extra benefits, however, such as bi-level dome cars with full-glass windows on the upper deck, an exclusive open-air viewing area and gourmet menus to offer a more elevated dining experience.
