Washington DC - City Break
City Breaks
The nation’s capital, Washington DC, often feels strangely familiar even if this is your first visit. You’ve seen the sights so often on the news, it’s a thrill to tick them off in real life, to work out where the White House is situated in relation to the Capitol Building, and how the various monuments and memorials line up along the National Mall. This fantastic four-day city break in Washington DC is designed to show you the sights as effortlessly as possible. You’ll be treated to two included tours, one in the daytime and one after dark when the monuments are spectacularly illuminated, and there’s a host of additional excursions available on an optional basis. Otherwise, you’re free to discover the city at your own pace, and you’ll quickly realise that away from the monuments and government buildings, the city has a host of vibrant neighbourhoods well worth exploring. Two of our favourites we’d like to recommend would be historic Georgetown and the newly developed Southwest Waterfront district on the banks of the Potomac River.
