Northern Lights of the Yukon

This short trip, which operates operates from mid-August to late March, is a brilliant way to make the most of a visit to Canada’s remote and rugged Yukon Territory. Not only will you get to stay up late for three consecutive nights of aurora borealis viewing, but you’ll also have the chance to enjoy hot chocolate and marshmallows around a roaring open fire. It’s a magical, almost child-like, feeling the first time you witness the twisting, twirling Northern Lights. It will take you back to your first ever fireworks party or the first time you saw snow settle on the rooftops. There are also plenty of included and optional activities to enjoy during the day, not least a guided tour around the Yukon’s small capital city of Whitehorse, an ideal introduction to the area’s gold prospecting past. Snowshoeing, ice fishing and scenic flights are available as optional excursions, as is the chance to sign up for a half- or full-day of dog sledding along the Takhini River.
