On Mauritius’ quiet south coast, in the relaxed village of Bel Ombre, this beachfront hotel is sandwiched between a coral lagoon and a forested nature reserve. The Heritage Awali calls itself ‘the best 5* all-inclusive in Mauritius’ – a big claim, but a justifiable one. With 160 rooms, huge amounts of space, and a focus on both luxury and providing a real Mauritian experience, this hotel really does provide everything you might want from a holiday on the island.

From the beach, you’ll be able to step right into the protected lagoon. It’s ideal for snorkelling – you don’t need to be a scuba diver to explore the underwater world here. There are also 3 pools, one of which is adults-only.

Many come to the Bel Ombre area for its top-tier golf, and the Heritage Awali has its own award-winning 18-hole course. Other ways to get active include tennis, yoga and kayaking. Plus, there are numerous options to explore either on land or at sea, including horse-riding, dolphin watching and wellness walks (some comes at a supplement).

There is a great choice of eating options, from beachside casual to formal. Most notable is Le Chateau de Bel Ombre, a 19th century plantation house where Mauritian flavours are served.

Premium all-inclusive (at a supplement) includes All-inclusive Package, plus:
Complimentary golf cart for every round of golf (Heritage Golf Club), one round of golf per stay at La Reserve Golf Links including a welcome gift, shared buggy with GPS, range balls & hallway refreshment, 2 lunches and 1 dinner at additional selected restaurants, unlimited Champagne and upgraded minibar.
