Local Area

Cape Town is the oldest city in South Africa and a ‘must experience’ if you’re visiting the southwestern peninsula. There’s a wide range of things to do, from penguin spotting on Boulder’s Beach to learning about the marine environment at the Two Oceans Aquarium.

Head to the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront and you’ll be treated to a whole week’s worth of shopping and dining overlooking the harbour. This is also where you’ll find the ferries taking you out to Robben Island and the seal watching boats bobbing around by the pier.

Either side of the City Bowl you’ll find beaches and coastal stretches offering everything from surfing to whale watching. Head inland by bus and you can take a tour of the winelands and stop for tasting sessions at Stellenbosch, Paarl and Franschhoek estates.

If you’re looking for a hike there are plenty of trailheads leading directly from the foothills of Table Mountain as well as a convenient cable car station to whisk you up to the top.

If you’re staying at the ‘Nellie’ you’ll literally have access all areas. With sumptuous grounds and commanding mountain views discover Cape Town, in style.
