The Commodore Hotel
Hand-Picked Hotel
A classic hotel with a tasteful nautical theme, perfectly positioned in a prime location in the V&A Waterfront
Thanks to the elevated V&A Waterfront setting, the Commodore Hotel provides sweeping views of Table Mountain, Cape Town Harbour and Robben Island. You’ll find Cape Town’s main attractions just steps away from the front door, as well as plenty of on-site facilities for when you return home.
Guest rooms invite you to rest and relax in style before getting ready to get out and explore all over again. Why not enjoy an afternoon of spa therapies followed by a wallow in the hot tub, steam room or sauna. Alternatively, you could work up an appetite at the hotel gym or swimming pool.
The Clipper Restaurant has some delicious dishes, as well as a secret outdoor courtyard if you fancy dining alfresco. Then, head to The Admiralty bar lounge for some of the best nightcaps and cocktails this side of Table Mountain.
Whether you’re looking to get out and explore or put your feet up and relax, the Commodore Hotel is one of Cape Town’s most convenient places to stay.

Local Area
Cape Town is the oldest of South Africa’s three capital cities. It sits to the north of the Cape Peninsula bordered by ocean, mountains and lush green vineyard covered valleys.
This is where you’ll find the country’s oldest working harbour. You can still see fishermen unloading the catch of the day while tourists wait to board the ferry to Robben Island or Boulder’s Beach. The Victoria & Alfred Waterfront development has grown up around the harbour to provide residents and visitors with a focal point for shopping and dining out.
If you’re looking for somewhere to stay, the V&A Waterfront is a super convenient setting. There’s an eclectic mix of boutique stores and galleries right on your doorstep, as well as the Zeitz contemporary African art museum and the amazing Two Oceans Aquarium.
Either side of Cape Town you’ll find affluent white sand suburbs promising surfing, seasonal whale watching and fun times at the beach. Head inland and you can visit wine estates for tasting sessions or enjoy playing on some of South Africa’s finest 18-hole golf courses.
If you’re looking for a walk, well spent, there are several trails leading into the foothills of Table Mountain. Of course, if you don’t fancy a hike, there’s also a cable car to take you up to the top for some of the finest views around.
