Grand Mirage Resort and Thalasso Spa, Bali
Hand-Picked Hotel
Enjoy the quiet side of Bali
The Grand Mirage Resort is right on the beach in the quiet resort of Tanjung. Its 380 rooms and suites look out over either the ocean or the hotel’s well-kept gardens, and you could quite easily spend a holiday here doing little else but enjoying the view.
The Thalasso Spa is a destination in itself, specialising in seaweed and saltwater thalassotherapy treatments, including an impressive aquamedic pool. You’ll also find massages, beauty treatments and a traditional Indonesian leaf bath.
Of course, you don’t need to visit the spa to enjoy the water. Take a dip in the adults-only infinity pool on the beach, or take part in one of the many watersports on offer (some of which are included). Nine bars and restaurants give you plenty of choice for meals (and cocktails). The themed buffet dinners at outdoor restaurant Rama are a real highlight.

Holiday location
Local Area
Tanjung Benoa & Nusa Dua are quiet resorts where most people’s focus is relaxation. A world away from busy Kuta (around a 15 minute drive), its beach is clean and peaceful, backed mostly by quiet, high-end hotels like the Grand Mirage.
It would be very easy to spend most of your holiday here either on the beach, by the pool or in the spa – and no-one could blame you for that. But if you do choose to explore, you’ll find plenty to do and see in the nearby resorts and in the Balinese jungle.
There are several quieter, less-developed beaches within striking distance of the Grand Mirage – such as Sawangan Beach, around 15 minutes’ drive away, where you’ll find a single shack café, waves, sand and not much else. If you’re after something more lively, Seminyak offers a more upscale (but still lively) nightlife scene than neighbouring Kuta. Inland, the uplands town of Ubud is a must-do. Discover Balinese art and culture in its galleries and museums, visit the monkey temples or simply hang out in one of the many chic cafes – it’s an easy place to while away a day.

Please note
- Grand Mirage Resort & Thalasso Bali will be refurbishing 100 of the Premiere Rooms, located in Wing “A”. During refurbishment, working hours will be 9am to 6pm. Wing A will be totally closed, and Thalasso Spa will be temporarily moved. The project will start from September 2024 until March 2025.
