Local Area
Ellaidhoo Island is situated in the North Ari Atoll in the Maldives. A scenic speedboat transfer from Malé International Airport will take 1 hour 30 minutes, or 30 minutes by seaplane. This idyllic haven is surrounded by deep water that reaches around 30 metres, making it ideal for snorkellers and divers to explore the kaleidoscope of marine life that call these waters home.
North Ari Atoll offers warm water temperatures and excellent underwater visibility year-round, so the likes of white-tip reef sharks, stingrays and schools of barracuda can be easily spotted. Whale sharks and hammerhead sharks can also be spied from time to time. Check out popular dive sites like Maaya Thila, Fish Head and Rasdhoo Madivaru to get up close and personal with an exciting array of sea life.
