Phuket, in southwest Thailand, is a gloriously green and mountainous island that’s long been welcoming holiday makers to its white-sand shores thanks to its very own international airport. There’s also a connection to the mainland via the Sarasin Bridge that opens up access for anyone travelling overland from Bangkok or transferring from Krabi International Airport.
