Saadiyat Rotana Resort and Villas

Chilled out resort vibes on Abu Dhabi’s Saadiyat Island
The Saadiyat Rotana’s 340 rooms, suites and villas lie on nine kilometres of Saadiyat Island’s protected beach, where hawksbill turtles can be seen nesting on the sand. This extensive resort offers both luxurious accommodation and plenty to do (if you can tear yourself away from your sun-lounger).
This resort offers seven restaurants, serving everything from Middle Eastern specialities to British pub grub. At sunset, the place to be is the Roof Bar @ Turtle Bay, where you can enjoy grills, cocktails and a relaxed feel.
The large swimming pool is just as good for swimming lengths as it is for a cooling dip, and there are also padel courts, tennis courts and mini golf (for a full-sized golf game, you’ll find several courses on the island). And for unbeatable relaxation, head to Zen the Spa for a traditional hammam.

Local Area
Right on Saadiyat Island’s white sand beach, Saadiyat Rotana Resort and Villas, Abu Dhabi offers easy access to some of the city’s best cultural experiences and wildlife. The island is being developed as the city’s cultural hub, with low-rise buildings and a relaxed feel.
You won’t have to leave the hotel to find some interesting marine life, but take a trip to the Jubail Mangrove Park and you’ll get to spot numerous birds too. Explore on the boardwalks that cross the park or get really close to the action in a kayak.
Saadiyat Island is also home to The Louvre Abu Dhabi, with numerous other museums and galleries planned. It also has its own laid-back marina, overlooking the mangroves.
Elsewhere in Abu Dhabi, you’ll be able to pick and choose depending on what takes your fancy. If you’re into sport, you’ll love a trip to Yas Island, home to the city’s Formula 1 circuit, as well as a popular marina with hundreds of shops and restaurants. For something more cultural, make sure you visit Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque. One of the few mosques in the region that allow non-Muslim visitors, it’s a truly impressive sight, with 82 white marble domes and a huge mosaic artwork.
