Anantara The Palm Dubai
Hand-Picked Hotel
A chilled out resort hideaway on Palm Jumeirah’s breakwater
Anantara hotels are known for Thai-style luxury, and they certainly haven’t skimped on that here. This impressive resort on The Palm – the famous tree-shaped manmade island – is one of the only places in the UAE where you can stay in an over water villa, complete with glass floor panels.
But whichever of its 293 rooms you choose, you’ll never be far from the water – with 400 metres of private beach, and 3 swimming lagoons, you’re spoilt for choice. Watch out for hermit crabs scuttling under your beach sunlounger, explore the tranquil waters by kayak, or enjoy a cocktail on your private terrace…
Seven bars and restaurants are spread across the resort, serving everything from Mediterranean to (of course) Thai delicacies. For a truly indulgent treat, book a custom culinary journey on your own private beach table.
The spa is a real treat. Soak away any last hints of stress in its Turkish and Moroccan hammams, try a holistic cocoon, ice grotto or liquid sound pool, or explore expertly delivered marine and magnesium wellness treatments. Whatever your mind and body needs, you’ll find it here.

Accommodation
Choose from a lagoon, private pool or water villa at Anantara The Palm Dubai. Many of the rooms and villas here are low-rise and thoughtfully decorated in contemporary style with Thai touches. If you’re not a fan of the skyscrapers that dominate much of the Dubai hotel scene, you’ll love Anantara. Lagoon rooms all come with either a private balcony (on the first floor), or a terrace with direct lagoon access. Beach pool villas are a real sanctuary – beachside, with a private pool and spacious terrace. And the over water villas are an incredible experience, with glass viewing panels in the floor allowing you to see right down into colourful sea life. Want a bit of extra space? The resort’s one and two bedroom apartments, each with its own kitchenette, are ideal.

Local Area
The Palm Jumeirah offers a slightly different pace of life to the bright lights and bustle over the bridge at Dubai Marina and Jumeirah Beach. While it’s still a hub of activity, with plenty of shopping and nightlife to be had when you want it, there’s also space here to simply stretch out and leave the world behind.
For those who love the water – whether in a swimsuit, scuba gear or boat – this really is paradise. Take a fishing trip and bring back your catch for a dinnertime treat, explore the clear, fish-filled waters on a paddleboard, or try your hand at water-skiing – your whole trip could be spent in and out of the water.
But the Palm has plenty of attractions on dry land too. On the crescent, the 11km long boardwalk is a superb place for a sunset stroll or for diving into the Aquaventure waterpark at Atlantis Resort. From Atlantis, you can ride the Palm Jumeirah Monorail along the trunk of Palm Jumeirah to explore the West Beach Promenade or indulge in retail therapy at Nakheel Mall. The Monorail also links up with the tram/metro for any wider explorations of Dubai.
