The InterContinental Ras Al Khaimah Mina Al Arab is a luxurious 351-room resort hotel on a quiet island just outside Ras Al Khaimah City. Ras Al Khaimah is the UAE’s northernmost emirate. It’s generally quieter than better-known Dubai and Abu Dhabi, with a distinctive feel.
The Intercontinental Ras Al Khaimah Mina Al Arab Resort and Spa is in a quiet area developed in keeping with its natural surroundings, around 20 minutes’ walk (or bike ride away) from the promenade with its shops and supermarkets and Al Hamra Mall is just a short drive away.
Ras Al Khaimah City is around 20 minutes’ drive away. There, you will experience the bustle of traditional Emirati city life, with its fish and spice markets and working port.
Further afield, trips out into the desert and its terracotta sand dunes are popular, and a visit to Jebel Jais, the UAE’s tallest mountain, is a must. Around an hour’s drive from the hotel, the views are spectacular.
