Hand-Picked Hotel

Iconic heritage hotel in central Sydney with sauna, steam, lap pool and rooftop sun deck.

The Grace hotel is an institution. This grand heritage building has been around since the 20s and still exudes the Art Deco ambience synonymous with the era. It’s the perfect place to kick back and relax in one of 387 guest rooms or get out and explore in central Sydney.

Thanks to the York Street location you’ve got all the main attractions right on your doorstep as well as numerous neighbourhood bistros and cosy taverns, nearby. Although, there’s no better place to start a sightseeing tour other than the hotel’s breakfast room.

Alongside the lobby lounge dining area, The Grace also boasts a rather wonderful recreation centre up in the roof. This is where to head for a work-out in the gym or to complete a few dozen laps in the indoor pool. There’s also a sauna and steam room to help you ease into evenings, as well as an outdoor deck for topping up your tan.

Local Area

Head to New South Wales on Australia’s southeast coast and you’re more than likely wanting to go to Sydney. This is one of the world’s most popular cities with the opera house and the harbour bridge just a couple of ‘must experience’ architectural icons.

It’s an easy location to navigate on foot, especially so if you’re based in the Central Business District. Alternatively, if you’re staying in the suburbs, there’s a good light rail network as well as regular ferry services to and from Darling Harbour and Circular Quay.

Central locations, like York Street, are ideal for city sightseeing as well as shopping at the nearby malls and Queen Victoria Building. You’re just steps away from modern skyscrapers and neo-Gothic heritage properties as well as loads of neighbourhood bars and bistros.

That’s the great thing about Sydney, there’s so much to see that you’ll be spoiled for choice. From the Art Gallery of NSW and the Royal Botanic Garden to St Mary’s Cathedral and the historic harbourside at the Rocks – this is where your Aussie adventure begins.
