The Inn at English Harbour
This elegant, colonial-style resort straddles both a tropical wooded hillside and a peaceful white-sand bay. It also gives guests a great view of the coming and going of yachts in English Harbour. When you want to get out and explore, there’s a free shuttle that’ll whisk you to Nelson’s Dockyard. The hotel is spread over different levels and cloaked in palm trees that lead down to the beach. Among the greenery, you’ll find a good-sized swimming pool, tennis courts, and the state-of-the-art Our Spa, where massages and body wraps are among the treatments on offer. Down by the water, meanwhile, you can take borrow kayaks, paddleboards, and snorkelling equipment. Dining-wise, you’ve got two restaurants to choose from – one with an ocean view – serving innovative Italian and Caribbean fusion dishes. Lots of the produce is plucked from the hotel’s organic garden, so the ingredients are as fresh as they come.
