Local Area
Located to the east of the Caribbean, the island of Barbados well known for its natural beauty and elegant spa and beach resorts. The west coast, especially, is a particularly affluent area with its nickname the ‘Platinum Coast’ not coined just for the colour of the sand.
Getting around is easy here, thanks to a complimentary daytime water taxi service running up and down the west coast to ferry you to Colony Club’s sister hotels – including Waves Resort & Spa, Crystal Cove, The House, Tamarind and Treasure Beach. It’s ideal whenever you fancy a change of scene, a change of beach, a change of pool – or, if you’re staying on half board or full board – a change of dining option for lunch or dinner.
It's less than a mile from Colony Club into Holetown, so you can easily stroll there for an authentic Bajan experience, or just for a browse round the shops. The capital, Bridgetown, is also worth a visit. This is where you can see the Parliament Buildings and learn more about the island’s history and colonial heritage at the museum.
