The Sandpiper
Hand-Picked Hotel
Stylish, family-owned beachside boutique, just five minutes from Holetown.
The Sandpiper’s close connection with nearby sister hotel, the Coral Reef Club, gives guests the best of both worlds on the west coast of Barbados. This member of the Small Luxury Hotels of the World is the more laid-back of the pair, and comes with two swimming pools and a Caribbean restaurant along with direct access to a white-sand beach.
Al fresco dining, beach grills and poolside parties create a sociable feel, and there’s nowhere better than Harold’s Bar for tropical cocktails as the sun sinks into the sea.
Thanks to the hotel's prime location, just five minutes’ walk from Holetown, there are plenty of opportunities to get out and explore. There are also a couple of 18-hole golf courses nearby and a variety of watersports, tennis courts and fitness facilities to enjoy onsite.
From award-winning spa treatments and regular yoga sessions to lush green gardens and exchange dining with the Coral Reef Club, if you’re looking for a stylish boutique in Barbados, this is where the adventure begins.

Local Area
If you’ve got plans to travel to Barbados, you’ll find Grantley Adams International Airport the main point of entry on the island’s southeast coast. Arriving here places you under an hour’s drive from the majority of key locations including Bridgetown, the capital, and historic Holetown, both of which are situated on the upmarket west coast.
The lively seaside town of Oistins is even closer to the airport however, as the island is just 34km by 23km, you’re never far away from a beach BBQ or calypso party. Explore on the Atlantic facing east coast and you’ll discover a quieter more natural scene. The island’s interior is also well worth experiencing with botanical gardens and colonial-era plantations providing day trip alternatives to the sugar white sands spread along the Platinum Coast.
From cricket grounds (such as Kensington Oval) and golf courses (including Sandy Lane) to Mount Gay rum distillery and afternoon tea on the lawn, if you’re looking to escape to the far east of the Caribbean, there’s nowhere better than Barbados to get the party started.
