Sociable all-inclusive resort on the south coast, close to St. Lawrence Gap.

Turtle Beach is a sociable resort with plenty of peaceful pockets far enough away from the lively neighbours at St. Lawrence Gap. This is a family friendly hotel, with a kid’s club programme to keep little ones happy and entertained while the adults relax.

With all-inclusive access to many of Turtle Beach’s sister hotels on the island’s west coast, there’s plenty to be said for getting out and about. However, when you’ve got Italian and Bajan fusion restaurants on your doorstep, sometimes it pays to stay local and simply chill with a cocktail or two. There’s also a tempting ice cream parlour and coffee shop – both included in the all-inclusive package – as well as a fitness centre and swimming pool to work it all off.

After easy-going days in the hot tub or snorkelling with the turtles, you’ll be all ready for fun-packed nights. There are regular themed evenings and live music. Alternatively, settle for rum punches by the bar.

Local Area

Head to the island of Barbados and you’ll find yourself located on the eastern edge of the Caribbean, just as you reach the Atlantic. This is an isle of offshore coral reefs, white-sand beaches and shimmering sugarcane plantations.

The south of the island has some great resort hotels, including Turtle Beach, that are close (but thankfully not too close), to the lively seaside town of St Lawrence Gap, which serves as one of the island’s premier entertainment districts. The south of the island is also where you’ll find the Barbados Golf Club and the seafood stalls and rum shops at the former fishing village of Oistins. Head here on Friday nights for the famous ‘fish fry’.

From Turtle Beach, it’s around 20 minutes' drive into the island’s capital, Bridgetown. Here, you can enjoy a slice of local life and uncover the colonial heritage at various museums and in the historic Garrison. The airport is also just 20 minutes from the hotel, making this a convenient choice for arrival and departure transfers, too.

Please note

  • Just so you know, the hotel will be closed for an extensive renovation programme from 01 February 2025 to 01 February 2026.  The hotel owners are undertaking similar programmes of renovations at Turtle Beach’s sister hotels, during which time access to facilities (potentially including restaurants) may be limited or withdrawn without notice – Treasure Beach (until 30 November 2024); The House (from 15 July 2024 to 30 November 2024); Tamarind (31 July 2024 – 15 October 2025); Colony Club (03 June 2024 – 31 August 2025) and Crystal Cove (01 February 2025 – 01 February 2026).
