Of course, you could always stay put if you’re after something to eat. The sashimi and sushi dishes at Shiso restaurant are tasty and refreshing, and you can’t beat Sunscape for tapas-style small plates on an open-sided terrace.

Barbados is one of those islands that lets you live life at your own pace, whether you're here for the water sports, the rum shacks or the luxury hotels with the all-inclusive ‘dine around’ programmes.
Situated on the eastern edge of the Caribbean, the island is fringed by white-sand beaches and pastel pink coral reefs. The interior, also, is packed full of vibrant colour, with green rainforests and botanical gardens filled with blooms.
Along the west coast you’ll find monuments and museums in historic Holetown, as well as boardwalks and yacht clubs in the capital, Bridgetown. Underwater adventures are in good supply, with sunken ships and artificial reefs turning Folkestone marine park into one of the hottest spots for snorkelling this side of St Lucia.
From Waves Resort & Spa, you can jump on the daytime water taxi to sister hotels on the west coast – Crystal Cove, The House, Tamarind, Treasure Beach and Colony Club. You’re also free to take lunch or dinner at any of these hotels (with the exception of Colony Club) and also at another hotel – Turtle Beach – down on the island’s south coast. The team at the front desk are happy to make your reservations and can also take care of any taxis.
