Hand-Picked Hotel

Get the star treatment at one of the Caribbean’s most iconic hotels.

The Jamaica Inn is one of the most historic hotels in the Caribbean. Dating back to the 1950s, it's been a firm favourite among the sophisticated set ever since Marilyn Monroe and Arthur Miller chose to honeymoon here in 1957, and Ian Fleming sipped his famous Vesper Martini at The Terrace bar with Sir Winston Churchill.

The family-owned hotel offers a real sense of timeless glamour, mastering the art of combining discreet privacy with heartfelt personalised service.
Set in the heart of Ocho Rios, and with a 700-foot secluded private beach and offshore reef, the hotel’s location sets you up well for exploring. That said, if you’d rather keep to yourself, all the spacious guest suites have a large furnished verandah just right for dining outdoors, complete with ocean views.

Dining at Jamaica Inn is an elegant affair. Enjoy al fresco meals at The Terrace restaurant with its daily changing menu and live music, or head for smart Teddy’s Grill, right on the beach.

Local Area

Jamaica lies in the middle of the Caribbean, to the south of Cuba, and has two main international airports: one in Montego Bay in the northwest, and another in the capital, Kingston, in the south. If you’re staying in Ocho Rios, you could fly into either airport, as the transfer time is about the same from either location – around 90 minutes.

Once you arrive, you’ll find an island alive with good vibrations and smoky jerk chicken barbecues. And you can count the minutes until you hear one of Bob Marley’s hits coming from an open window. In fact, visit the Nine Mile Trading Post in the hillsides of St Ann, close to Ocho Rios, and you might even get to meet a member of the Marley family.

Elsewhere on the island, you can enjoy a bike tour around the Blue Mountains where coffee plantations and a refreshing plunge in a waterfall make an active alternative to a day at the beach. Talking of beaches, the island is completely surrounded by them, and the 700-foot private beach at the Jamaica Inn sees hawksbill turtles nesting in the summer, followed by turtle hatching season between July-November each year.

Please note

  • Meal options: Prices are based on bed & breakfast (Continental style), with half board, full board and all-inclusive upgrades available.
  • All Inclusive Plan includes: Breakfast, lunch and dinner at the Jamaica Inn, all beverages by the glass and dine-around options available at four Ocho Rios’ restaurants: Evita’s, Passage to India, Miss T’s and Summer House Harmony Hall. Note: no more than two dine-around offers per stay and you can only dine once at each restaurant.
  • Just so you know, this hotel does not currently charge an additional Resort Fee (subject to change without notice).
