The unusual beaches

Given its attractive rocky coastline, St Paul’s Bay doesn’t have much in the way of sandy beaches, but the locals have found ways around that in order to make the most of the bay’s crystal-clear water. Bugibba Perched Beach, for example, features rocky platforms and terraces covered in artificial sand, with ladders or steps cut into the rock down into the calm waves.

Bugibba Promenade

Lively Bugibba is best experienced via a stroll along the waterfront. From here you’ll be able to soak up picturesque views of the Mediterranean whilst taking in local entertainment from street performers and musicians, shopping for souvenirs or partaking in coffee or a meal at one of the many cafes and restaurants.
