Holiday location
Local Area
The quiet resort of S’Algar stands on a rocky headland known for its coves, capes and islets. It’s a pretty, peaceful place with a couple of small supermarkets and a restaurant, all easily reached from the hotel along the long, level promenade. Walkers love heading off on the Cami de Cavalls, the famous walking trail - a famous bridlepath that encircles the whole island can be reached from the hotel.
We are delighted to welcome back the Hotel Alua Illa de Menorca, previously known as the Hotel San Luis. S'Algar has long been a favourite of Saga guests with its extensive leisure options including tennis courts, bowling greens and great walking on the nearby Cami de Cavalls, the bridle path that encircles the island. The new owners, AM Resorts, have refurbished and further improved the hotel interiors.

Included excursions
Mahon and boat trip
A sightseeing tour of Mahon, the capital of Minorca, opens a door on this lovely Anglo-Spanish city with its old alleyways, shaded monasteries and pretty market squares. One of the main attractions is yellow-stoned Santa Maria Church which, along with gilded treasures and beautiful paintings, contains one of the largest pipe organs in the world. Later, we’ll see the city from a different vantage point with a cruise on Port Mahon harbour.
