Astronomy and Geology in Tenerife
- All Inclusive
- 7 nights
- London Gatwick Airport
- Puerto de la Cruz, Tenerife
Tenerife is an ideal location for stargazers and geologists. Its unique position near the equator, combined with lots of cloudless nights, means we'll witness the magnificent colours of the Milky Way in its full glory - something we can't see at home. Along with our expert host, Dr. Sheona Urquhart (PhD in Astrophysics and Galaxy Evolution), we'll take a trip up the 12,000-foot-tall Mount Teide volcano, where astronomy observations are some of the best in Europe. We'll learn about the stars, planets, and distant galaxies, take in some of the most breathtaking views, and gain insights into the life and work of the astronomers based on the island.
