Benalmádena is a lively resort home to stretches of coastline, sandy beaches, and seafront bars and restaurants. Its hillside Old Town is perfect for exploring, and there's a marina filled with super yachts. The resort is ideal year-round for soaking up the lively atmosphere of the Costa del Sol, with its typical Spanish bars and English, Irish, and Scottish-themed pubs. There’s plenty of culture for those who want to get their history fix too, including the impressive Colomares Castle, built in honor of explorer Christopher Columbus, and Málaga, which is home to great museums, including the Picasso Museum and the Automobile and Fashion Museum.
A great escape from the UK winter in February. The hotel is well placed for walking both ways along the very long promenade with a variety of aspects to enjoy along the way. There is also a great bus service stopping outside the hotel.

We’ll see how the other half live today as we enjoy a guided tour around one of Europe’s most exclusive resorts, Marbella. Sandwiched between the Sierra Blanca mountains and the Costa del Sol, this is where the international jet set come out to play after they’ve safely anchored their luxury yacht within the glitzy confines of Puerto Banús marina. Aside from the high-end bars and designer boutiques, Marbella also features a lovely Old Town area. This is where cobbled streets and traditional Spanish restaurants are situated around the Plaza de los Naranjos. We’ll also visit the hillside village of Mijas. Famous for its whitewashed houses and breathtaking views of the coast, we’ll wander the narrow streets, browse artisan shops, or simply soak in the relaxed atmosphere of this beautiful pueblo.
