Every year, millions of migratory birds travel between Africa and Europe through the Strait of Gibraltar, the closest point between the two continents. Southern Spain, especially near the Strait, is one of the best places to witness this. On this birdwatching holiday, we’ll visit some of the most interesting birdwatching sites that southern Spain has to offer. We’ll observe birds like honey buzzards, booted eagles, kites, storks, osprey, chiffchaffs, and redstarts filling the sky during their incredible journeys. Five included excursions - Rivers Guadiaro and Palmones (half day) - Tarifa (full day) - La Janda and Alcornocales Natural Park (full day) - River Guadalhorce (full day) - Ronda Mountains (full day) A stay at the H10 Estepona Palace combines old Andalusian charm with all the mod cons of a deluxe hotel. The hotel is sufficiently far from Estepona to provide privacy around the property and space on the beach, but a 30-minute stroll is enough to take you the marina and a little further to town. Estepona itself has real Spanish character, which is evident in its cobbled streets and sun-splashed plazas. The town is known for its bold, colourful street murals, all painted by local artists, which have transformed the town into a museum of urban art. It’s a place where you can truly relax and unwind, while still enjoying some authentic Andalusian culture. There’s even an amazing Orchidarium with over 5,000 species of Orchids from all over the world that’s worth exploring.

Meals are served in the main restaurant, refurbished in 2020, and enhanced by show cooking at all meal times . There is also an à la carte restaurant (extra charge and lunchtimes only). The hotel has three bars including a poolside bar. The swimming pool restaurant is open all season for a la carte lunch (extra charge) and privilege breakfast. The chill out terrace is open from mid June - mid September. A free bar is available to All inclusive customers 12 hours daily, serving local alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.
