Fairmont Royal York
This graceful and iconic hotel provides all the facilities and services you could ever expect of a luxury hotel in a world-class city. Originally opened in 1929, an extensive multi-million-dollar renovation was undertaken in 2019 which has afforded the hotel a whole new lease of life. The Fairmont Royal York has also been featured in many blockbuster films, including Serendipity and Mrs. Doubtfire. With its striking grandeur and lavish atmosphere, there’s certainly a lot to choose from at the Fairmont Royal York. There are over 1,300 guestrooms and suites spread across 18 floors, and on the ‘H floor’ you’ll find the hotel’s Health Club which has a skylit indoor swimming pool, a whirlpool, steam room and sauna. On the 14th floor there is an urban rooftop garden which was one of the first in Canada; this enables the hotel to have flavourful herbs, home-grown organic vegetables and edible flowers. It is also home to over 300,000 bees and the honey produced is used within the restaurants at the hotel and sent to a local brewery to make an exclusive ale which is sold only at the hotel.
