Hand-Picked Hotel

Three distinct resort experiences with the ultimate chance to disconnect.

With a prime location on one of the ‘Golden Isles’ off the coast of Georgia, this award-winning property used to only welcome famous socialites and America’s wealthiest families such as the Rockefellers and the Vanderbilts. Set in Jekyll Island’s National Historic Landmark District, it gives a taste of how leisure time was enjoyed in the late 1800s. It is an ode to the island's history, with a mixture of Southern charm and timeless glamour.

The resort offers three unique accommodation options – first and foremost is the original Jekyll Island Club that started it all, which has a wealth of facilities and leisure activities from carriage rides and croquet to golf and horse riding. The Island Cottages are three impressive mansions once owned by the country’s most influential businessmen. Finally, the resort’s newest addition is the Jekyll Ocean Club, the island’s only oceanfront, all-suite property with breath-taking views.

The whole resort is set in beautifully landscaped gardens, and you can completely recharge your batteries by enjoying walks through the forests, beaches, and riverfront or cycling some of the 20 miles of paved bike paths. After you worked up your appetite you can dine at one of six restaurants/bar outlets where you can savour everything from seafood dishes to local Southern favourites.

Local Area

Jekyll Island is a barrier island lying off the coast of Georgia, close to the town of Brunswick and accessed from the mainland via the Jekyll Island Causeway. It’s perfect for relaxed beach holidays, and also makes a great stopover if you’re travelling between Florida and cities such as Savannah or Charleston further north along the coast.

Jekyll Island has a rich history and is home to ten miles of shoreline, and a huge variety of things to do and see. You can enjoy white sand beaches, 63 holes of golf, an outdoor tennis complex, the Summer Waves water park, a fishing pier, dolphin tours, horseback riding, 20 miles of bike trails and the Georgia Sea Turtle Centre.

The island's beaches are also ideal for shelling and throughout the year you can enjoy some signature events like the Turtle Crawl, the Paulk Cup Classic, a combination of golf, food and fun, and the Jekyll Island Shrimp & Grits Festival, a favourite among foodies!

If you are after some retail therapy, Jekyll Island offers diverse shopping, from upscale boutiques to souvenir shops, and more. Please note vehicle entry to Jekyll Island requires a parking pass.
