Travel insurance and additional cancellation cover for all overseas holidays and cruises
On all of our overseas holidays, including the Channel Islands, Northern Ireland, the Isles of Scilly, and our river and ocean cruises, we include travel insurance and additional cancellation cover.
Travel insurance is underwritten by Astrenska Insurance Limited and is available to UK residents only, subject to medical screening. A price reduction will be applied if the included travel insurance is not required. Pre‑departure cancellation cover (cancellation rights) is provided by Saga and is only available when taking out the included insurance. A full summary of the optional travel insurance will be provided with your booking confirmation. Please call for further details.
Saga Holidays are for anyone aged over 50. A travel companion may be over 40.
Cancellation rights for all UK holidays
For holidays in mainland Britain, we include cancellation rights, so if you have to cancel your holiday because of unexpected serious illness or death of you or a member of your party, we will refund all of the money you have paid to us, less a handling fee of £60 per person, provided we receive a valid medical certificate.

If you're a regular holidaymaker and travelling more than once in a year, our sister company Saga Services Limited offer an annual policy that could be right for you. Tailored for the over 50s, our multi-trip insurance option gives you cover for multiple holidays throughout the year.
With an annual Saga Travel Insurance policy you’re covered to travel up to a maximum of 180 days per year in your chosen region or up to 45 days per trip with the option to extend to 60 or 90 days (90 day extension excludes USA, Canada, Mexico and Caribbean Islands policies).
