This two-week tour of South Africa provides an ideal introduction to the landscapes,wildlife, and cultural history of the country. You’ll enjoy private airport transfers and guided tours and stay in well-chosen hotels and a choice of luxury safari lodges. You’ll also travel onboard the iconic Rovos Rail train and settle into an en suite Edwardian-style sleeper suite. Starting in Johannesburg, you’ll tour Soweto before flying to a safari lodge either in Timbavati or Klaserie private game reserves. This is where you can enjoy fine dining, spa treatments and luxury safari accommodation as well as having the chance to spot Africa’s Big Five during daily game drives. After flying back to Jo’burg, you’ll enjoy a romantic three-night Rovos Rail journey from Pretoria to Cape Town. Here your tour concludes with guided city and Cape Peninsula tours adding to the enjoyment of four nights in South Africa’s coastal capital.
