Local Area
On the southwest coast of Thailand, just an hour’s drive north of Phuket, the coastal region of Khao Lak sits proudly overlooking the Andaman Sea. This relatively peaceful area is fast-becoming one of the country’s hot spots for beach resorts and luxury living.
In between the golden sand and tropical forests, fishing villages can still be found quietly operating as they always have. Seaside towns, like Bang Niang, conjure up a slice of local life with outdoor markets featuring alongside open sided bars and street food stalls.
Travel a short distance inland and you’ll discover the jungle-clad mountains of Khao Lak–Lam Ru National Park. It’s a great location to surround yourself in nature with tiered waterfalls, verdant hillsides, and deserted beaches looking out over limpid blue bays.
