Local Area

Follow Vietnam’s snaking form down from the beaches and resorts of Nha Trang – on the southeast coast - and you’ll find yourself on the palm-fringed shores of Mui Ne. This peaceful pocket has become a big draw for water sports enthusiasts thanks to the wind whipping in off the South China Sea. It’s also easily accessible from Ho Chi Minh City (once known as Saigon) although the four-hour drive is probably too long for a day trip.

Alternative excursions in this area of southeast Vietnam range from visits to the local market and cooking classes to ATV tours of the White and Red sand dunes. You can also visit the pagodas and statues in the foothills of Ta Cu Mountain or take a hike or cable car up to the summit for outstanding views.
